Salary: £29,301 - £38,183 per annum.

We are recruiting for an Early Career Academic Fellow to enhance the intellectual vitality within Media, Culture, and Heritage (MCH), a highly successful and relatively newly-merged unit with a large staff base. We are specifically looking for candidates who can align themselves with one or, preferably, more of the section’s constituent subject areas. In this case candidates should align themselves with areas such as media studies, cultural studies, journalism studies and film practice. All of these fields are understood broadly through innovative and interdisciplinary scope that allow for unique and original research profiles. Some of the key cross-cutting areas relevant to this post include but are not limited to: politics, identity, gender, race, class, sexuality, advertising, public relations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and collegiate interdisciplinary early-career scholar who engages with theory and practice; maximises the public impact of her/his research, makes the most of our research environment; and is able to communicate effectively with academic, professional and community users of research into public culture.
The contract is fixed term for 36 months.
